About the Author:

Sheri McGregor is a writer, and a mother of five. Despite being a professed "Earth Mother," who home schooled and nursed her babies, she always kept her dream tucked away in the corner of her heart and mind.

After her mother's sudden death, her dream of becoming a paid and published writer grew urgent. If she waited until her kids were grown, would there still be time?

"When my mom died, I knew she had unfulfilled dreams," says McGregor. "It made me realize I needed to follow my own dreams--now."

McGregor has now authored more than a thousand articles, essays and short stories for newspapers and magazines that include The Washington Post Style, Reader's Digest's Walking Magazine, Oracle Corporation's Profit Magazine, Real Woman, L.A. Parent, Sunset Publications and others. Profiles of interesting people, health/medicine, mind/body medicine and women's interest stories are her greatest loves. Under the tutelage of mentor editors, she's developed a knack for writing business, e-commerce and technology articles as well.

Sheri's latest book is a hiking guide, which allowed her to share her love of nature and its wonders while getting out into San Diego's backcountry - - - one of her favorite pastimes. Since it's November 2004 release, the book, 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: San Diego has become a top seller both in regional bookstores and at online book sellers. Find out more about the book by visiting Sheri's hiking website: www.SanDiegoHikes.com

In addition Sheri McGregor writes fiction. She has published two novels and a novella, and short stories published in magazines such as OzBike and Woman This Month. She is currently working on a women's fiction book. Her first published novel, DREAM CATCHER, was published with Kensington Publishing Corp. in September of 1999. Her second, UNDER ONE ROOF, was released in September, 2000.

In 2002, McGregor started back to school. She is double majoring toward degrees in psychology and English, which will fulfill more of her dreams. Apropos to this interest in psychology, McGregor's novella is titled Freudian Slip. The uplifting tale starts the New Year off with high expectations for a celebrity writer whose Freudian Slip brings her fireworks . . . and the promise of love. Her personal experience work is featured in books released in early 2003: Chocolate for a Woman's Soul II, and Cup of Comfort for Mothers and Daughters.

With her personal achievements, McGregor hopes to inspire her sons and daughters to follow their dreams, too.

If you have followed your dreams, despite life's obstacles and your huge commitment to your children and family, please tell your story for sharing here.  By doing so, you can help another mother to gain the strength and inspiration to fulfill her own aspirations.

Together, we can lift one another to the stars.
