Greetings from Mothers Who Dream!

"Far away there in the sunshine are my highest
aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up
and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to
follow where they lead."
Louisa May Alcott
Welcome:
I hope you are having a wonderful summer. Have you
found the time to pursue your dreams, even amid the
chaos of children home from school, vacations with
the family, and trips to the beach? Being a
community of creative dreamers, you have no doubt
puzzled out some time. If you're struggling,
remember the above quote. Even if you can't devote
your energies as fully as you might like, your
aspirations are waiting there. You can see them,
reflect on them, and pursue them as you're able.
In keeping with the busy-ness of summer, this issue
will be short and sweet. I'm including affirmations
that deal with various areas of life.
You'll note that the format is a little different.
I'm experimenting with a new mailing program. PLEASE
help. If you find something difficult to read or
that doesn't correctly come through, jot me a note
so I can strive to make it better.

Affirmation:
I will stop worrying about what others think I
should do. Instead, I will do what I KNOW is best.
|
 |
|
 |
 |
Affirmation:
I will take steps to research, learn, and move
toward my dreams. I will take the act of thinking
about pursuing my goals, and transform those
thoughts into actions.

 |
 |
Affirmation:
I will remember the tenacity of crab grass. With
water, and despite rough conditions, a carpet of
green will grow. I will be just as persistent.

Early this month, it was exciting to meet so many
people at the Leadership Festival sponsored by San
Diego's Channel 10.
Working with two other women whose businesses
completed an Empowering Your Mind, Body and Spirit
triad, I came away inspired. To those of you who
have joined the Mothers Who Dream community after
the event, thank you so much. It was great to meet
you!
I look forward to future events!

Request for Dreamers:
A friend recently told me: "A little blathering
between girls is good for the soul."
Don't you agree? Summer is a time for reflection and
sharing. Please share your success story, along with
the failures you learned from along the way. If
you're a mother who has pursued her dream, please
blather a little. As my friend Patti says, it's good
for the soul.
Inspire others! Share your story.
Maybe you'll be next to inspire mothers around the
world!
Until next time,
Sheri McGregor
